Development and Validation of Psychological Capital Scale for Dual Role Individuals: Further Evidence of Psychometric Properties

The current study aimed to develop and validate the measure of psychological capital (Pychological Capital Scale; PCS)) for dual roles individuals. A conceptual referent theory positive anticipated by Luthans et al. (2004) guided development instrument. Further, factor analysis reliability PCS were determined on sample 150 dual-role individuals belonging various educational institutes, government private organizations, hospitals, software houses, firms Punjab. Additionally, 21 items subjected principal component emerged four factors. Each item loaded at above .45 factors, labeled as Goal orientation (7 items; 31.07% variance), Optimism (6 8.09% Self-efficacy (5 7.17% Resilience (3 6.08% variance). scale exhibited a high level internal consistency, which was supported estimates alpha coefficient (?=.89) item-total correlation (ranging from .29 .62, p<.05). construct validity instrument established with Positive Psychological (PPC) Scale (Luthans al., 2004) Stress (subscale Depression, Anxiety, Scale-21 (DASS-21) (Osman 2012) confirmatory measurement model indicated four-factor solution measuring capital.
